Data Strategy Analyst, Digital and Technology Department Job


ROLE PURPOSE:
Implement data strategy within Digital and Technology Department (JDT)  in collaboration with bank wide Business departments to deliver data analytics capability in alignment with the Bank’s business plan.

 

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Assist in implementing data strategy to ensure that all data within the Bank can be accurately defined and used to promote the Bank’s business plan and the Bank’s data analysis agenda.
• Promote easier adoption of data used by business units by leveraging on the data platform. Incorporate data from new system implementation to allow for future strategic use of that data as the Bank determines.
• Assist in implementing strategy to leverage the flow of data from collection through submission, and data interchange to benefit business units.
• Perform statistical analysis to produce executive dashboards to support regulatory oversight.
• Assist to advise on data strategy and support the Bank's analytics agenda to reduce the requirement for external consultancy input, increases the awareness of data availability, access and collaboration, resulting in reduction of time from initiation to implementation of new ideas, analysis and systems.
• Collaborate with Jabatan Pengurusan Strategik and other related departments to support the overall drive within the Bank for the extensive use of data analytics.

• PHP,Java

• EDWs – Teradata, Oracle
• SAS
• ETL tools
• Analysis tools

QUALIFICATION / EXPERIENCE :

• Academic qualifications: Degree or professional qualification in Science, IT or Economics.
• Strong knowledge and experience in EDW, BI, data quality, master data management, data governance, ETL tools.
• Excellent command of verbal and written communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia
• Experience: At least 4 years experience in Banking, Data, IT systems, Architecture.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

• Candidate must possess at least 5 Credits in SPM including Bahasa Malaysia, English and Mathematics.
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
